Red Tent Women's Project

Where women transform the world

Hi

It's been a while since I last wrote a message here, and this is the last of several. No replies. Have I been sidelined? Am I being ignored for a reason? Or is this just paranoia?

Hello Red Tent USA! Please tell me if I've offended...

The Red Tent (Heart of England) - a multi-national sisterhood. Yesterday's event at Martineau Gardens, taking time out from shopping, spring-cleaning - whatever - to appreciate Mother Nature in all her spring glory...
Hi Kat

It's good to hear from you. I've made so much progress since our discussions last year. Someone pointed me in the direction of Marian Zimmer Bradley - Lady of Avalon - and I've been reading up about the christianisation of Britain and all the terrible things that happened. I've been kept in ignorance for such a long time... But now I'm making up for it.

The last Red Tent (Heart of England) meeting was in a garden, and I prayed to Mother for sunshine. We not only got it, praise be, but just as a friend was driving me home a few large drops of rain splashed onto the windscreen, just to remind me to say thank you again!!! I was very deeply touched.

I've also been very active writing articles about other women's organisations in my city for a local newspaper. If you google me, you can find some of them. It's been a very positive move. In a few weeks, one of the larger organisations is getting all the women's group CEO's together for a discussion about how we can better serve the women of Birmingham. That was always one of my key objectives, and I'm so glad we're moving towards greater unity and longer vision.

I'd love to hear about what you've been up to, Kat - if you have a few minutes to let me know.

Of course not! I imagine it's just because women who come in and out must've missed your posting, is all.
Hi Natasha

Thanks for the reply. I hope things are progressing well in the USA. There are rumbling of red tents all over England now, and ours is beginning to be known, even though our city of Birmingham is the 2nd largest in the country. I've been doing radio shows and we're launching the 'City Mothers' - a network for the leaders of women's organisations here in the city - later this month.

What's happening in your neck of the woods? I'd love to know how Eryka is and what she's doing as well - I sent a message a while ago and didn't hear back. I hope she's well.

Best wishes
Jan
