Red Tent Women's Project

Where women transform the world

Hello, beautiful women!
Does anyone have any experience or expertise in creating a red tent (sacred space for women on moon time)? I have a vision to make this happen, and an opportunity to do so at a women's gathering in Oregon in late August. This is a start, if I can get there and pull it together. This feels like a very big if right now, but you never know.

Can anyone help in any way: information, materials, contacts, helping hands, donations? I am working on a manifesto and will link it to this site as soon as I have it. It has to do with honoring our feminine rhythms and the source of our true feminine power, as well as gratitude and giving back to our Mother Earth.

Thanks!

Hi Amber

I dream of owning my own red tent. Hope you get all you need. If I were there, instead of in England, I'd gladly come and help.

Just a couple of things: firstly, for design look at arabiantents.com. They have some beautiful interiors, including 2 red ones, really sumptuous. Secondly, have you come across Mongolian 'yurts'? If you google, you'll see them. There might be someone near you selling one, or willing to lend you one in exchange for advertising (I mean the companies who make them) come to that.

Good luck

I've always wanted to have a Red Tent for the moon time, even if it was just me or some close friends. Good luck! You've inspired me to pursue the goal once more :)

Update:
I didn't make it to the event last August, but am looking forward to next year when I hope to make the Red Tent a reality. Right now I'm building the foundations. Please see The Moon Hut Project.

And a women's community networking site, similar to this one, at Your Moon Hut Project.

We will be based out of Eugene, Oregon, but plan to take the Red Tent out on the road. Stay tuned...
