Hello Sisters,
I hope everyone's having a blessed weekend.
I had a pondering and thought I would share and see what your thoughts were on the subject.
There is a book called "Why Do Men Have Nipples?" and it's a book answering tons of questions that you've always wanted to know the answers to. And yes, one of the questions answered is Why do men have nipples?
The answer: all fetuses are FEMALE until about 6 weeks of age when they begin to change (if they're going to be little boys) or stay the same and develop (if they're going to stay little girls). What would be a girl's fallopian tubes and ovaries turns into testicles and accompanying tubing and what would be a girl's clitoris develops into a penis. Boys keep their nipples and (usually) flat chests, while girls' breasts (as we know) will later develop to be able to nurture children. It is the effect of the genes, the Y chromosome and the hormone testosterone, that brings about the changes and masculinises the embryo. And, a certain level of the female hormone estrogen is present in all men. Which is why some men have "breast-like" chests, can produce milk, and get breast cancer. If men came before women, why would they have female hormones?
Think about that... all fetuses start out FEMALE. What does that mean? To me that means that someone's lying when they say MAN was created FIRST. Think about it... Logically, if Divinity created Man first, why would fetuses start out as FEMALE in the womb? They wouldn't. So that would mean, that Woman was created first, NOT Man. Which, would also suggest the theory that “men” were named from the title “wo-man”, not the other way around as the patriarchal religions would put it.
And bringing up patriarchal religions, have you heard the story of Lilith and Adam? It got left out of the Bible. Lilith was the FIRST woman, created with Adam. She refused to bow down before a man and left his ass (you go girl!) and was turned into a breeding cow of a devil woman by the church and her part in the “creation story” was removed, and when God “tried again” with Eve the creation story was changed to at least seem like Eve was the first woman when she wasn’t.
Lilith’s image, and Eve’s and Mary Magdelene’s after her, were tarnished and dirtied by the church for different reasons. These are my theories:
1. To protect the male-dominated church.
2. To give examples of how “proper God-fearing women” shouldn’t behave (i.e. not being submissive to men, not “listening to God”, using their bodies to benefit themselves, etc.)
3. To make it seem that Jesus/God did not need a partner or a woman lover to be there for them, etc. and to hide the fact that Jesus did marry Mary and have a blood line (their daughter, Sara).
4. To prove that women are evil and inferior to men.
5. There are plenty more reasons out there that can and will arise but this is my short list for now…
But these are just my theories… please feel free to share your own or comment on mine :)
It’s puzzling that I haven’t heard this raised before, that women came BEFORE men, etc…
Goddess Bless,
