What issues are most important to you?
survival of human race
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
treat all beings with compassion and respect (I aspire)
What organizations do you love or work with?
13 Grandmothers, Good Medicine Women's Gathering, Blue Deer Center (Plant Spirit Medicine), Tahoe-Baikal Institute, Flowering Mountain, Food not Bombs
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
Books: Grandmothers Counsel the World; Women of Wisdom; Goddess of the Americas; Animal, Vegetable, Miracle; Nourishing Traditions; Sexual Secrets, books by David Deida (the Way of the Superior Man) on communication between the sexes...
Career: what do you do or want to do?
teacher, chef, artist, healer
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
Sell myself... I hate to sell anything. Let us give freely. Sorry, I'm really tired right now! I have a lot of skills and interests. Imagination, vision, and bringing things together, working with children, initiations and ritual, relationships of all kinds and men/women in particular (micro and macro), food, plants, shamanism, Buddhism, ancestral traditions (culture), communication, creative problem-solving, patience, love, willingness to work and to learn.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
I have a vision of bringing the red tent (sacred space for women on moon time) to community gatherings. I feel like this is part of our gift to the world as women, to honor our cycles and the true source of our power. May each of us bring the full gift of our being to this world: women and men, all of us. May we remember to say please and thank you.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
There is no defining moment; it has been a journey. We need women to take the lead now into a new way of being in the world, or we will destroy ourselves.

I'm Coming Out

...I want the world to know, that I love you so...
How does the song go? Sorry, I'm giddy. I have been working on my own Red Tent, with inspiration from many of you on here. Thank you all for what you have shared.

My vision is called The Moon Hut Project. I'm at the point where I'm almost ready to really start reaching out with it, but I'm starting with people I know and/or trust. So, you are invited to look at my new websites and offer feedback if you feel compelled to do so.

The Home site is… Continue

Excerpt from my blog (more is on my page)

I was one of those people who came to expect terrible cramps as an inevitable part of the first day of my period, sometimes two days. Since I was trying to avoid taking synthetic pain medication, I would spend the day curled up in fetal position in bed if I could afford to, drinking herb tea and cuddling the hot water bottle. But more often I would have to brave the public world while enduring this constant, sharp, g… Continue
