What issues are most important to you?: Healthcare, Politics, DisAbility, Women's Rights

What kind of social activism do you engage in?: Public Health Outreach, Political Events

What organizations do you love or work with?: Endometriosis Association, AARDA, Doctors Without Borders

What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?: All music empowers women by strengthening our spirits.

Career: what do you do or want to do?: Personally, I’d like to influence expansion of ADA policy to more broadly address the needs of those living with chronic illness. This means encouraging employers to offer flex time and telecommuting options for qualified job applicants and workers whose health concerns make it difficult to follow a regimented schedule. Professionally, I believe I can use my existing experience in the pharma industry as a catalyst to help arrange for the distribution of medicine and vaccines around the globe.

What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!: I have a ton of knowledge about how to navigate through the tricky healthcare system, from choosing the right health insurance plan to advocating for yourself when you are in a crisis. I also have a pretty in-depth understanding of autoimmune disorders, allergies, endometriosis, CFIDS and Fibromyalgia (all related) and I know a thing or two about pharmaceuticals and vaccines.

What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!: If something is worth fighting for, I fight for it.

What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?: After years of doctors telling me that a number of health problems I have are in my head, I did my own research and learned that there are millions of other women like me. I began production of a documentary that raises awareness about autoimmunity as a women's health crisis. I put that project on the shelf for a while but I'm finally going back to it.
