Youth empowerment, education, women's rights

What kind of social activism do you engage in?

I used to work for a great Senator on Capitol Hill, and now I'm starting my own non-profit.

What organizations do you love or work with?

I'm starting Girl Guides USA (www.girlguidesusa.org), a non-profit outdoors program for girls.

What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?

We can learn from everything we read, listen to or watch. It's what we choose to take from them that's important - and often up to us.

Career: what do you do or want to do?

Right now I'm working on giving my organization a solid start so that I can manage its growth in the future.

I'm enthusiastic, dedicated, honest and caring, and when I set my sights on a goal I pursue it relentlessly.

What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!

I don't believe in limits.

What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?

I've been calling myself a feminist since I was in elementary school. :)
