Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
Equality of women through the education of women past. Helping women out of class situations, through pratical means and inspirations.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
Any and all
What organizations do you love or work with?
I'd love to work with NOW, hopefully soon.
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
"When God was a Woman" this was the best book I've ever read. It's enlightening and inspiring.
"The Red Tent" fictonal, but celebrates women instead of making them fit into a male status quo.
"The Poisionwood Bible" Also inspiring that show the transformation of women.
"The future of Women" a sociological study for the 4 options that women in this world can take.
Career: what do you do or want to do?
manage a woman shelter, work within NOW and legislate
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
This is my calling in life, to work with and for the benefit of women. I plan to travel to Ghana for the Women's Project. I'm researching the historical perspective of the Goddess religion and the advantages of knowing our actual history.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
Well I'm fun! Pretty honest and love to have good conversations. I have hopes that one day little girls will grow up realizing their potential because at one time in our history, they were worshipped and they should know it.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
I attended President Clinton's Global Initative University and realized there is little done to help women realize their futures. But something has always stirred me toward the strength of women ourselves and not lies of what women were or should be.
