Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
Education issues and women's rights. Specifically when it comes to the work environment, pregnancy, birth, childcare and everything that goes with it. Equity for all!
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
write letters of interest and/or anger, participate in my surroundings and volunteer
What organizations do you love or work with?
Any org dealing specifically with womens issues.
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
That's a long answer...I'll have to get back to you.
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
I'll get back to you.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
You don't need to be rich to be happy or to travel
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
I've always thought women were discriminated against to some level in the work place and within certain cultures and have always been interested in women's rights. But my aha moment was when I became pregnant a few years ago. We still have a long way to go with women's rights and family rights within the US. Something other developed nations seem to have advanced with.
