Creating a peaceful space where ever I am. Sharing my talents in teaching art, yoga and pilates to the world.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
speak my mind
What organizations do you love or work with?
YMCA, Jubilee
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
I of course enjoyed the Red Tent, Avalon, Forrest House, Into the Forest and the Temple of My Familars are some of my favorite books.
Career: what do you do or want to do?
Healing Heart Art
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
I would like to share my talents with others. Currently, I am looking for groups to work with that would like to experience the Meditation Monoprint experience. Meditation Monoprints is an artful way of meditating while creating art. Yoga and Pilates studios who would like a workshop on Yoga/Pilates Fusion.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
Greta Lee Camp, is a RYT and Pilates instructor and has led many healing art experiences. Her training includes scholarships to Penland Craft School and Pilchuck Glass School.. “Teaching is one of the best ways to learn yoga and facilitate healing. The union of breath is a fantastic way to be love, be loving, and be loved. I greet you with a humble, playful, open heart.”
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
No defining moment. I've been a feminist for a long time. Back in the 1980's I joined the march in DC for the Pro-Choice demonstration that attracted over 1 million participants. I also went on the Women Against Violence demonstration and witnessed the Clothes Line Project. I was also on the local board of the NOW chapter in Tallahassee in 1992/93.
