I'm so glad to see that this community exists!

What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?

A classmate of mine in college organized a "Clothesline Project," where we made t-shirts that commemorated women who experienced violence. Seeing the many (too many!) shirts, and hearing about the horrible stories that inspired them, made me realize that if I wanted the world to be safe for women I'd better step up and do something.
