Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
Education, global warming, friends and family, living life to the fullest. Abolishing Abuse of all nature!
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
Equality
What organizations do you love or work with?
I love NSPCC, Abuse against children upsets and angers me the most. But getting rid of Abuse all together is also important.
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
I believe that it depends on how you look at all types of things. Books, music and films can be interpretted by different people completely different ways.
Anything that gives me the power to dream, aim high and imagine empowers me.
Career: what do you do or want to do?
I always wanted to be a teacher, but alas, I never finished higher education. My options are still wide open.
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
I love to socialise, talk and especially listen. I would love to be there for people who just want to talk, rant or rave.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
Loves: Reading, Listening to Music, Swimming and doing anything fun and outgoing.
I love to spend time with my family, who unbelieveable are growing up so quick, I also love to spend time by myself, with a nice movie to cry over.
I am also a thinker.. I can think and think and think. I can think to the point it hurts sometimes.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
When I was hurt in a relationship, my ex decided to turn around and say " it shouldn't matter who i cheat with, I'm a bloke. If you had cheated it would though, because that would make you a S**G." I didn't know whether that was just one mixed up man, or the thought of every man in the world. Either way, the sexism of some men is absolutely appalling.
