What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
I like to listen. I like to offer heartfelt advice. I'm Reliable. I help people feel comfortable.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
I feel very lucky to have been born a woman in the west, where my basic human rights allows me to work, drive a car, walk in the streets at night and live a life dictated, for the most part, by choice and not by laws which, because of my gender, direct the role I play in society . I just returned from 4 months in Morocco and it was an incredible experience on many levels. It really opened my eyes to basic freedoms I used to take for granted. We are indeed lucky my sisters, even if we have a long way to go.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
There was no "moment" but the glaring separation of genders and stereotypes was always very clear to me, even from a very, very young age.
