After I graduate massage school, I would like to get involved in volunteering with AIDs Project Rhode Island as a massage therapist. AND it would be wonderful to participate in an active Red Tent Group in Rhode Island.

Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
Allowing people to be authentic and real. Not something that society, friends and family want them to be. Whether someone is fat, skinny, gay, straight, or a dog or cat lover. It is important not be judgemental.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
Women's issues are important to me.
What organizations do you love or work with?
I try to be involved with my religious practice as a Buddhist. I am an active member for the SGI-USA a lay Buddhist group. Aids Project Rhode Island (after I graduate school)
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
I cannot pin point any particular books but I believe it is important for women to listen to their gut or intuition. The universe is trying to tell you something and some of us have forgotten how to listen.
Career: what do you do or want to do?
I will be graduating massage therapy school on June 25, 2010. This is a mid-life career change for me.
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
In June 2010 I will graduate massage therapy school. I have a website people can visit for more information. www.knepleytherapeuticmassage.com
In my previous career, I did sales, customer service and business development for over a decade.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
The truth is inside each of us...just listen!
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
I am not sure if it was a particular moment but I believe that women need to be able to take care of each other. We are all sisters!
