We had a lovely dinner meeting (Rosjke and her husband, with me and mine) and Rosjke was introduced by my husband to a webinar program that is easy to use, and very low-cost! It looks like this discovery may meet her needs, and the needs of her…

Rosjke, when we meet near JFK later this month, my husband will be bringing with him his computer and information on how he teaches on-line for his firm. Hopefully, his experience and his input will help you in your quest... and will also help me be…

Can anyone give me advice about facilitating a Webinar training course?

Hello All - I have a vision of running Women's Power Circles training through the web so that I can cut  across geographical barriers but I'm very green about how to go about this. I would very much appreciate any advice or tips or pit falls I should avoid, and especially a good webinar company that you can recommend. I'm in the UK and would love to open up Women's Power Circles to women outside of the UK or to women who cannot come to my home in…See More

Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
I think that it is time we looked more closely at the beliefs and messages that we have internalised for generations that have silenced women and normalised sexism and inequality.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
I am the founder of Women's Power Circles Ltd
What organizations do you love or work with?
Any organisation that empowers women to "go for it" on her terms.
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
I loved The Red Tent by Anita Diamant and at the moment I am reading Women Lead The Way by Linda Tarr-Whelan. My book is called "The Silent Female Scream". Any book that exposes how sexism and inequality has been normalised and internalise and empowers girls and women to rediscover their true voices is a great book.
Career: what do you do or want to do?
I am a psychotherapist specialising in women and the mother-daughter relationship, a writer and founder of Women's Power Circles Ltd.
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
Women's Power Circles are small groups of women who meet weekly for 6 weeks, or for a day experience, and together we expose, challenge and change any beliefs and stereotypes that silences us, stops us from "going for it" and makes us feel bad about ourselves. It is amazing how clear-eyed and lighter the women look at the end of the circle experience and how they "go for it".
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
Women's Power Circles motto is "Learn how to believe that as a woman you have the right to be heard, valued and respected, and to know that anything less is just not okay". If we all knew that without a flicker of doubt, this world would be a very different place. www.womenspowercircles.com
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
Sacking my literary agent while I was trying to get "The Silent Female Scream" published. It was a terrifying and strong moment where I knew that come what may, this book needed to be published because women, the world need to hear its message. I haven't looked back since then!
