Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
My primary focus as of late is the indigenous resistance movement in Mexico, which deals with everything from autonomy to human rights to water to women.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
Mexican solidarity, free speech, youth advocacy, immigration.
What organizations do you love or work with?
Various Mexico/Zapatista solidarity organizations, the National Coalition Against Censorship, various immigration groups, the American Friends Service Committee, Las Comadres, Hispanic Women's Network of Texas.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
Hola, beautiful women! I am an author/activist/nomad from South Texas who would love to hear from you! Drop me a line via my website, www.aroundthebloc.com.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
I've been living on the road for more than a decade now, and am constantly encountering extraordinary women making a powerful difference. My second book, 100 Places Every Woman Should Go, pays homage to their contributions.
