Theresa J. Christie replied to Rosjke Hasseldine's discussion 'Can anyone give me advice about facilitating a Webinar training course?'
We had a lovely dinner meeting (Rosjke and her husband, with me and mine) and Rosjke was introduced by my husband to a webinar program that is easy to use, and very low-cost! It looks like this discovery may meet her needs, and the needs of her…

Theresa J. Christie replied to Rosjke Hasseldine's discussion 'Can anyone give me advice about facilitating a Webinar training course?'
Rosjke, when we meet near JFK later this month, my husband will be bringing with him his computer and information on how he teaches on-line for his firm. Hopefully, his experience and his input will help you in your quest... and will also help me be…

Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
FGM, equal rights for all sexual orientations, eating disorders, bullying, and domestic violence. I try to provide a safe place (both physical and spiritual) for mental health to grow, and self-love to develop. Young girls should be nurtured to grow and become healthy women, both physically (in the home, at school; as they get older, in the workplace, etc.), and in their minds and hearts. I feel it is my responsibility to help that happen.
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
ocal charities; gay rights; anti-FGM groups; anti-domestic violence groups
What organizations do you love or work with?
local charities; gay rights; anti-FGM groups; anti-domestic violence groups
What books, music, films, etc. do you think educate and empower women?
“The Silent Female Scream”... "The Ethical Slut"... "Awakening Joy"... "Women Who Run With Wolves"... "The Mists of Avalon"... "Women's Rituals"... lots more I can't think of at the moment....
Career: what do you do or want to do?
I am a paralegal. I hope to become a Certified Women’s Power Circle Facilitator.
What skills and interests to do you have to offer to others in the Red Tent Women's Project communty? This is your chance, so sell yourself!
I hope to become a Certified Women’s Power Circle Facilitator through studies with Rosjke Hasseldine should our on-line program bear fruit. I am a very positive person, and try to influence others to enjoy the gift of their lives. I started a FaceBook group called SteppingStones to share positivity as a real power.
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
I am a 54 year old Pagan/Wiccan woman and have been since my early teens. I am true to myself, and encourage others to be the same. I believe in self-love, not selfishness.
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
When I was attending Catholic grammar school, I told the nuns I wanted to be a Priest. Their response was that such a thing could never be possible. That was an early lightbulb moment for me, and everything I have done since then in this spiderweb of time is connected to it.
