Profile Information

What issues are most important to you?
social transformation through arts, media and spirituality; holistic community development (including the development of the whole person); educational, economic, racial, cultural, and social equity; most issues across the human rights (including cultural rights) spectrum
What kind of social activism do you engage in?
arts/media; youth development; education as a vehicle for community development
What organizations do you love or work with?
ah- ha! too many :)
What would you like other members of this community to know? About yourself, about the world...anything (try not to be profane, though)!
love and dedication are two key pricinples of social (individual and collective) transformation; this includes sticking it out when the going gets rough, and never ever throwing away the baby with the bath water; compromise and reciprocity are also key; AND nobody likes parasites- even ones with good politics...
What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?
I was born knowing that women really matter. Thank God/dess. Sustained and sustainable development for women and women's communities demands attention to the whole person, and what I hope is that we find new ways to define women's "power" which emphasize the unique power and value that we have in moving the world (starting with ourselves).
