What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?

I am a writer... I want the words that come through the ink and lay on the page to always be about things that matter.... things that matter to women... things that (maybe won't change peoples minds) but that will get people talking/questioning... I want my words to move people to want more - - to DO MORE... the moment for me was when I picked up that pen and decided to live my life writing about significant moments.
