I'm a writer from Jersey living in the Bay Area, working at ColorLines, a newsmagazine on race and politics (colorlines.com) and crafting a memoir about being queer, Cubana, Colombiana and other juicy things like that.

What was your "women really matter and I'm going to do something about it" moment?

Sitting in a group talking about sex and realizing that every woman in the group had been sexually assaulted.
